I'm using an HDMI to DVI cable to connect video, but that style of cable doesn't carry audio. What kind of cable should I use to connect a PC and HDTV audio 25ft away?

HDMI to HDMI ports using HDMI cable should make sound available.

DVI cable will not carry sound, just digital video. This way, you will have to use a separate audio cable from PC to TV. Audio cable will be mini-stereo jack at one end then dual RCA jacks at the other end.

if i only got vga and buy an vga to dvi converter and an dvi to hdmi cable, does that work if i want to have high quality

Your PC's VGA output sends out an ANALOG video signal only. (5-channel RGBHV)

Your HDTV's HDMI jack can only receive a DIGITAL video signal. (DVI-D / TMDS).

Analog is NOT compatible with Digital, no matter what cable adapters you attempt to daisychain.

If you attempt to connect your PC's VGA to an HDTV HDMI, you will get NO image.

It will NOT work. Not in a million years.

I already have 1 monitor but i would really want to try out and see if i can do dual monitors. I dont have an extra monitor but i do have a tv that i can use.
