Hello all,

i have a certain commercial that i'd like to play over and over again on a TV.
this TV is very far so using hdmi or vga cable is not an option.
A Coaxial cable has already been installed o i just need some type of suggestion about the device i need to purchase to make this happen (any type of card? )

You don't mention how far - far is, but the most common way to create a long VGA link is via ethernet. There are low-cost VGA to ethernet adaptors.

If you want to use Coax, then you need an RF modulator. Ideally you want a VGA to RF modulator. In worst case: VGA to composite video -> composite video to RF modulator.

Or as someone mentioned. Make the Commercial into a DVD, buy a $30 player and play it .

I have philips Aurea FullHD TV and philips home theter system(no tsure how is°t called but it is in similar style as Aurea) in one room and my computer in the other room. I have quite a few movies in HD (.mkv file ending). There is no way I can connect PC to TV cuz the cable would have to be waaay to long. However both TV and home theater accepts external memory devices through USB ports (have used them for pictures and music).
Is there any way I could connect my external HDD to TV to watch those HD movies ? maybe convert file format or something?
what would be the most convenient way?

If it direct satellite how come they know what happen for the upcoming episode?

Unless a show is said to be live, it is filmed, edited, and shown, the season finally could be live, or an episode if they list it that way. But when you watch a show, and you see scenes from different rooms or locations, it has been edited, and then show at the appropriate time. Survivor has never said live, I do think maybe the finals of some shows are live, I dont remember which one. Even though its a reality show, that means, people are not rehearsed and do not repeast scripts, but they still shoot lots of footage to make the show interesting.

I have been trying to connect my PC to TV via S-Video and nothing happens. My TV does not have an S-Video on it but I use a converter box which is really for connecting various gaming consoles onto one box, and it happens to have a few S-video ports on there. I have a ATI Radeon 9500 / 9700 series, and I use the ATI catalyst control center. I have to force detect my TV, but it does detect it, but I cannot see any picture. Anyone have any idea on how to do this?
I tried both and none worked. I added the RCA cables and I can BARLEY see a small amount on my TV. I have a Super Mario wallpaper and I can see the "M" on his cap moving from the top of the screen to the bottom, but there are alot of lines on the screen and it is mostly garbled. I am not sure if it is a converter box or cable issue as opposed to a setup issue.

Did you try extending the desktop onto the TV or making the TV your default monitor? I have a laptop with an S-Video port and a TV with one and nothing would happen when I connected the two until I went into the display properties and did either of the two things I mentioned.
