How do you connect a TV to computer when TV only has Video/audio cables input ?
by admin on May.26, 2010, under Uncategorized
it also has a UHF/VHF input but i doubt that is for these kind of things. i have a good video card on my pc with 2 slots, VGA and another one )(forgot wat it called). I just wanna know if i can connnect the pc to TV through AV cable on the TV end.
Don't bother talking with the guys at Radio Shack. If they can help you with this issue it will be a Miracle.
Most video cards can be converted to an analog video signal with one of these cords:

There are others out there. Just Google "PC to TV cable".

Usually you need a converter for VGA to RCA. It does depend on the video card. There are some cards that will allow to you use the cable converter without a scan converter, but most don’t.
So you need a scan converter fro your computer. Then you need to convert that too an RF signal to get it into the UHF/VHF jack on the back of your TV. by the time you get done with all of this the video will look like crap.
But if you need to check out this google search for scan converters.

If I still had to do this i would get a scan converter (+/- $150) then send the video to a VHS machine and finally to the TV.
Try it. I know this works.
