How do you manually set up a direct tv satellite dish?

by on Nov.28, 2009, under Uncategorized

We're working on manually setting up a direct tv satellite dish, and we need to know what source the satellite should be on and what number the transponder should be on as well. Also, we're setting it up from southern california, so coordinate tips will help too. thanks!

Biff, I had many issues with my satellite tv service at first. Poor reception and a messed up service plan were a couple of my problems. I wound up having to call a different local installer to come out and correct the problems that the original installer made. I'd suggest that you call a local California company to help you out. http://www.satellitefortv.com/California-Satellite-TV.html

If you bought the dtv box and dish, the instructions should include the location of the Satellite. Then you locate the satellite with a compass. Once you get a power signal, you have to adjust the dish to the best power signal.

It would have been better/easier to have dtv do it.
