4Video capture on a budget
By Richard
After searching the net for a video capture device for my Windows 7 system, I found only 2 selections that claimed to genuinely work on windows 7. One was a fire-wire device for $200 and the other was the EZcap device. Since I only from time to time convert video, I went for the much for less solution. The product works but there is a problem with the sound USB driver included in the package. It did not work!. Found this on You Tube [...]. This shows how to install sound drivers and has link to working driver. Only other problem I saw while digitizing my videos is the sound would drop out momentarily while recording.

4Works just like it says.
By VoidedDarkness
If your looking for a cheap way to record videos onto dvd, ipod, psp, or anything, this is a good choice to make. There are better alternatives, but come with a higher price. So if you want good quality recordings at an lowpriced price, this is the product you want. Comes with all but one item that you need to start out recording, which is a male to male rca cable to hook up the ezcap to your tv/dvd/vcr/anything that has a female output on it. But fortunately for consoles you may hook it straight up to the ezcap and get started recording with the showbiz software it comes with.

5Fantastic Value
By Hank
This product disproves the old saying in regards to things that seem too good to be true. This little peanut shaped EZcap and the software that comes with it does the occupation of productions costing hundreds more. It does everything it is advertised to do with a very little learning curve. It comes with a downloadable manual that explains and illustrates precisely how to do everything. I am in the routine of downloading years of family video tapes from my VCR to my computer, editing them and making professional looking DVD's with all kinds of neat titles and particular effedcts. I have applied it on both Vista and Windows 7 computers. A little driver tweak was necessary to get it to work with Windows 7. Shipping took only a couple days and the provider e-mailed me after I received it to see if I had any questions. At almost 70 years of age, this little item may be the best value I have ever received for the cash spent.

5Great Cable
By Candace P.
Great cable for a very low price. High quality shielded cable with well fitting connectors. If you need a long coaxial cable and don't wanna compensate ludicrous store prices I highly commend this Mediabridge cable.

5Quad shielded cable is well worth the priice
By W. Chin
Although the description says it is a double shielded cable, it is actually a quad shielded RG6 cable as conveyed by the printing on the cable itself. The item was shipped by Amazon, so it in a box with a lot of other items I purchased. The cable itself was in a discerned plastic bag. The connectors are very good and comparable to the ones applied by the local cable TV provider. It worked flawlessly and is unquestionably well worth the cost.

5Highest Quality RG6 Cable Sold
By B. M. Miller
It's a coaxial cable. That much is clear. But if you're even looking at this page/review, then you need a GOOD cable. You've found it. This cable is shielded to the point where you could run a magnet over it and it wouldn't affect a TV signal (I've tried!). It is RG6 cable, so it may carry HDTV (or any other frequency up to 3 GHz). And great connectors on the ends, they are usual F style screw connectors, but they are sturdy and well made, you may tell they will not fall off or get pulled off. I highly commend this cable, or cable of the same quality, for any type of HDTV signal - RG59 cable and unshielded cable will cause your picture to pixelate or blank out.

3Why not to buy
By Dancer99
I purchased the VIP 211k receiver and find that Dish Network charges the same $7 per month fee whether you own or rent the receiver from them. So, in fact, it costs way more to own a receiver. Seems strange since I had hoped to save the per month fee by owning. The receiver is fine - easy to setup (you need to call Dish Network to activate). Picture and sound are good.

3Good Product but Does not save Money
By whistledow
I purchased this thinking it would save the $7 per month rental fee on DISH Network. Unfortunately, you still end up paying a $7 per month access fee. Why buy when you may get it for free from DISH? Crazy. I am planning to send it back and get one for free from DISH Network. Product does what it claims.

5An Improvement over ViP 211
By J. M. Ritter
This ViP 211k is very nice. It has a good deal of improvemnts to basic features such as the remote sensor on it is very wide and it lights up saying HDTV but that's not all the main improvment is how it locks in on HDTV signals quickly without hesitation different from the old ViP 211. Not to mention that it's more compact and might have more memory in it. Basically it's a very nice reciever from Dish Network. "The Leader in Satellite and HDTV" :)

Direct Satellite Tv

by on May.26, 2011, under Uncategorized

Are you fascinated to know more when it comes to the Satellite Direct TV software that supposedly allows you to watch all your favored TV channels such as sports, premium movie channels, international TV shows and numerous other genres? If you are and you also hate to compensate pricey cable television bills, you will unquestionably be fascinated to see this online program that I had downloaded.

1. Is Satellite Direct TV Software Worth the Money?

It cost regarding $49.95, which is half the price of a month's worth of cable television subscription. This is an offer price which I personally feel is outstanding value for money. I have commended all my good friends to watch TV channels using this software and they have all thanked me for it.

2. What are the Benefits of Using Satellite Direct TV Software Compared to Traditional Cable TV Services?

Setting up the program to run may be done quickly in less than 5 minutes. This is much more immediate and more commodious when equated to using other conventional methods such as installing heavy satellite dishes and equipment. Once I have set this up, I could altogether cut off my cable TV subscription since Satellite Direct TV had all the channels that I want to watch.

3. What is the Standard Procedure of Acquiring Satellite Direct TV?

Firstly, you will need to register yourself as a fellow member of the website by ordering online and providing your personal and payment details. Once you have checked out safely and made the one time payment, you will have to proceed to download the installation software, which must be done in just a few minutes. Once done, you may merely run the software and you will have access to more than 3,500 TV channels on your screen without having to worry regarding paying bills each month again.

5small but works GREAT!
By D. Evans
This is our second Winegard MP-1 dish (my brother-in-law just had to have our 1st one!)

To say this works well, is an understatement - it is fabulously easy to set up and align, decent fade margin under most conditions, and never gives us the slightest disturb - then, it is fabulously little and the package is perfectly designed for storage (everything, including cables, (even 50' extra) sat alignment meters, sighting compass, (yes I recognise it comes with one, but I prefer my Suunto sighting compass) and numerous assorted connectors)

When the automatic dish on our RV is blocked, this is a perfective work around (or it could be your ONLY dish for that matter)

There in truth are no negatives for this little manual dish - If I have to come up with one, it may be a bit "twitchy" for the primary time user to set the elevation, but that's a "reach" to find something - azimuth is merely not an issue exceptionally if you use the supplied base (but we seldom use the base) - no skew adjustment to deal with - we likewise don't use the water "weight" container, haven't necessitated it - If you do use the "weight down" container, perchance use "VERY DRY" sand in the winter

Price is VERY good in my sentiment and the product merely works!

I may hardly believe how well it works!

This is lightweight and compact, but seems in truth sturdy. It was moderately easy to set up and works great. We use it with our RV...and even brought our cable service into my brother's TV when we visited him in the mountains.

Television Satellite

by on May.26, 2011, under Uncategorized

Seems like the battle Cable vs Satellite TV has become to an end - in 2009 million of Americans swapped from Cable to Satellite Television. The main reasons for this switch are the price difference, program choices, picture quality and client service and satisfaction. For instance Cable TV fees throughout the USA are around $39.99 per month for 64 channels and an further and added cost of $10.95 per month to add digital channels. An primary installation fee of $39.95 is charged plus $9.95 for each further and added room.

Satellite Television fees from DirecTV are $41.99 on a monthly basis for 115 channels and Dish Network is $31.99 per month for 60 channels. Both these satellite suppliers presently offer free satellite TV equipments as well as free installation for up to four rooms.

In most areas Cable TV broadcast in analog format and if you require digital sound and pictures you will need to pay an further and added fee among $10 and $15 monthly. On the other hand satellite Television offers more than 250 channels as well as HDTV programming. All the channels are broadcasted in digital format which affords viewers the most eminent quality sound and picture.

Cable TV includes the incoming cable to your television, but if you require a digital video recorder you will be charged a per month fee. Satellite Television requires a dish and receiver of which both Dish Network and DirecTV offer the instrumentation free including installation. Dish Network includes a DVR or HDTV receiver free and DirecTV charges $49.99 for a DVR receiver and $299 for a HDTV receiver.

Cable TV averages around 3 to 5% outages each year and their client services have been rated poorly. Satellite Television averages around 1% outages annually. Dish Network and DirecTV have been ranked the two best satellite TV suppliers and likewise ranked highly when it comes to client service and gratification over the last five years. So, it looks like there's a winner in the Cable vs Satellite TV battle - if you want assortment and quality then you must unquestionably choose satellite TV systems.

This is a great book that comes to cover a void amid too technical books that are addressed to experts and too simple books that have closely zero content. Having no background on TV engineering whatsoever, I found this book not only very informative, but also breathtakingly easy to read, even with my finish lack of noesis on the field. It's a ought to read for any person who wants to recognise the finer details of television technology. With the mandatory change to digital TV less than six months away in North America, this book is now doubly useful.

Online Satellite Maps

by on May.26, 2011, under Uncategorized

Do you know it is now possible to watch free online satellite tv? With the progression of the internet, it has become possible to watch satellite tv on your pc.

Compared with a regular satellite tv scheme where you need to remunerate hundreds of dollars per month for a dozen or so channels, online satellite tv allows you to watch thousands of satellite tv channels at no cost.

You do not need to buy any hardware elements in order to watch free online satellite tv. All you need is a broadband connection and a computer.

By downloading a piece of software, you may without apparent effort watch thousands of satellite tv channels. The software is a one time fee and there is no per month charges.

Watching Free Satellite TV online is made possible because of the internet. It provides a easy way to stream video to humans all over the world. The way it works is it converts the satellite tv feed into digital signals and stored on the servers. The servers are connected to the internet and available for video streaming by any individual who has the software.

Now before you rush out to buy this software, you need to make sure you have a broadband connection either cable or DSL since video streaming requires high bandwidth particularly if you want high effigy quality.

You also need to make sure your computer is up to scratch. Though the minimum requisites are rather low, you need at least a Pentium III with a decent video card and at least 256 or more RAM in order to play the streaming video properly.

If you wish to play the online satellite tv on your computer. You will need a video card with at least an s-video output which you may then connect to your television's video port.

I highly commend anybody who wants to watch free online satellite tv to try out this software.

5Fantastic Deal!!!
By B. Roberts
I ordered the Map Library along with my PN-40 unit. This map library was one of the deal-makers that led to my buying the DeLorme GPSr. I principally use the aerial images and the 1:24k topo quads. The color images for my area look to have been taken a couple of years ago, while the b&w's look regarding 6-7 years old. This will vary by geographic area. You may layer the maps in any order, and view hybrids with the Topo 7 info over the aerial (or whichever view you choose).

This annual subscription is just an unbelievable deal. The downloads I've made already would cost hundreds (going on thousands) of dollars if I purchased the maps individually.

5The best value in mapping software, bar none!
By C. Nickel
I have employed DeLorme TopoUSA merchandise for going on a decade now, so I have a large total of experience with it from it's earlier days as a pioneering product in the buyer digital mapping field. Once I "got the hang of it", it's been an primary tool in the backcountry. Hook a GPS to the laptop, load up the DeLorme mapping software, and you get a dot on the map at the precise emplacement you are at. During my backcountry adventures, I've found jeep trails using DeLorme mapping software that I couldn't even see on the ground due to terrain conditions, nighttime, etc. The added gain of handheld mapping GPS units from DeLorme has only made their mapping merchandise even more useful. Maps downloaded through this subscription may likewise be downloaded into DeLorme's handheld gps units.

This subscription to the DeLorme download service for added 7.5 minute USGA topo maps, charts, aerial, and satellite photography has been a wondrous addition to the product. I've been using it since around March, 2009. I have two dissimilar laptops, a Gateway that's probably three years old, and an Acer that is going on two years old. Neither model is considered "top of the line" as far as speed goes. However, I've never had a problem downloading any maps into DeLorme 7.0 on either computer. The download speeds have been outstanding through our DSL service and wireless home network. While I agree with a great deal of other reviewers that it would be nice to be capable to download more prominent single files, I have never had a problem plainly creating more files and downloading them back to back, which is done mechanically once the maps are selected. I plainly choose the maps, aerial, or satellite photography I want, let the software formulate the files, submit the order three or four files at a time, and many times the introductory maps are ready to download before I'm done choosing the last maps for my map download session. After that, it's all automatic. I have not experienced, on either of my computers, the types of troubles others have had, so I may only suggest that the cause of their difficulties might be more due to their queer network issues rather than troubles with the software itself. What's more, I've learned that one may likewise copy map files from one computer to another, therefore I only need to download the maps one time to one computer, then I may transfer them effortlessly to the other computer as well. Additionally, when one of my computers "crashed" and necessitated to be restored, I had to have the keycode reactivated on that computer through DeLorme's client service line, which was handled by DeLorme's UNITED STATES BASED SUPPORT PEOPLE in mere minutes.

Since I likewise own mapping merchandise from both Garmin and National Geographic, and Wildflower before them, I may attest to the fact that all of them have a proprietary user interfaces which require galore getting applied to. None of them may be considered "standard". There are a few features in each of the other productions I like, a good deal of person features even better than DeLorme. However, I always seem to come back to DeLorme for overall ease of use, available features in one package, and for the value received for my dollar expended in added maps and photography. I may attest to the fact that if one were to buy from other venders the volume of maps and photography equivalent to what is available for around $30 a year through the DeLorme subscription, one would in truth pay a heap of hundreds, if not well over a thousand dollars.

When one likewise includes the potential for altered maps and photography through the DeLorme download service over time, it makes this subscription an unbelievable value that I have not been capable to even come close to duplicating anywhere, and believe me, I look for the best deals I may find.

I have not been in the least bit disappointed, and I will most unquestionably renew this subscription.

2is not what it pretends to be
By wolfgang
A outstanding idea: limitless download of USGS Topo Qads, NOAA nautical charts, aerial imagery. And everything will be visible on the computer screen as well as on the handheld GPS unit. The problem is: Delorme makes each effort to prevent the valued client from downloading their cherished data. The selection routine of maps to download is slow and tedious through their "flagship" software "TopUSA 8". Once after dozends of clicks the greatest or most complete or best possible download size of when it comes to 50 MB is chosen (corresponding to a 1000sqm area), one has to wait 20 minutes for an email with a download link to arrive. The download itself is painstakingly slow and crashes half of the time (this does not have to do with my connection speed). So be prepared to spend days and days clicking through menues and waiting and discouraging and hindering if you want to get a lot of of your money's worth on this product...

Before long, all channels will be to a complete degree high-def; it's vastly bettered crystal clear and makes observing so much more enjoyable. Because it offers more pixels, it means the picture is much clearer.

The most eminent solution high definition television offers when it comes to double the pixels of a regular analog TV. Selecting one of the outstanding satellite packages available right now gets you 130 HD channels and more in the offing.

This is the definition of pixel ratio: The solution of a fixed-pixel display is specified by the total number of horizontal pixels all over each scanning line. This is the total count of vertical lines stacked top to bottom. For instance, a ordinary definition fixed-pixel display (as opposed to a high definition display) would have 704 pixels throughout each of 480 scanning lines (704 x 480).

In order to take full vantage of HDTV's capacity for clarity and detail you need more pixels. LCD, plasma, or DLP widgets need to have the capability to display those extra pixels. Progressive format 1080i is fast getting the mutual format in broadcasting.

1080i is the shorthand name of a format of high-definition video modes and commonly assumes a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. 1080 denotes the number of horizontal scan lines. This type of terminology is also known as vertical resolution. The letter i stands for interlaced. In the substitute format of high-definition video mode, known as 720p, the p would stand for progressive scan.

HD solution of either 1,280 x 720 pixels (720 lines progressively scanned with a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio). The mutual substitute is "1080i" (1920 x 1080), which represents a 16:9 widescreen effigy with 1920 pixels across.

720p vs. 1080i: Progressive scanning means that each video frame is transmitted as a whole in a single sweep. (720p) gives rise to a smoother, more film-like look, but a 1080i effigy genuinely holds dandier detail.

The nice portion of HD that you may capture the video for later viewing. Some satellite broadcasters offers a free high definition video recorder with their high-def package. It lets you record your bestloved programs when you are not at home and may later replay. The high definition DVR has 200 hrs of ordinary definition and for high definition you get 50 hrs of recordings. Plus you get to listen to astounding theater-like sound with Dolby Digital 5.1 technology.

These are the most popular packages for each Satellite TV service. So, when you see the imagination promotions and the prices, you now recognise how much they REALLY cost. Hope this helps. We've all been burned by the cable company before when we THOUGHT that our cable would cost "x", and then the "promo" ran out, and then it seems to double. Remember this, since both DISH Network and DirecTv require a 24 month commitment, if you see an advertised price for a sure amount of time, just do not forget you're locked in when those prices go "regular". At least with cable, when the rates skyrocket, you may jump to satellite. Just ask, ask, ask, what the regular prices are. But, now that you've read this article, you now know.

One decision. That's all it took. One ill-advised, reckless decision and the course of his life changed everlastingly as John Coventry enters the undercover world of terrorist cells, spies, bluff and double bluff in a place of high-stake drugs, espionage, and terror. Along the way, he unwisely falls in love with a terrorist whose commitment to her cause is more outstanding than the love she shares with him. John is torn amid the love he feels for her and his Country. He lies to his family, to his friends and for his country. If you are intimate with dishnetwork, when it comes to comparing Satellite TV providers, it is hard to determine which is the best choice among them because both their pricing and programming are very similar, including news channels, sports channels, movie channels, premium channels, alien channels, etc.

5Easy set up for portable satellite service
By Gary Faulkner
The Carryout is a outstanding solution for portable satellite service. We are using it for our 5th wheel RV. Instead of setting up a pole and manually aiming a Dish 500, I connect the 12v cable and the coax cable, set it on the ground in a resonably level spot, and the carryout does the rest. It will only look at 1 satellite at a time, so is in truth only suitable for a single receiver box. We use Dish network, and on initially getting it out of the box, I had to set a dip switch inside the dome for Dish network. It will mechanically find the satellites at 110, 119, and 129 locations. This means it is also suitable for HD service from Dish network. When altering channels that requires a dissimilar satellite, it only takes regarding 5 seconds to make the switch.
It saves a lot of time in setup, and saves a great deal of storage space as well. Works great, and I highly commend it.

The introductory trip with the Carryout made me a believer. Just follow the instructions to the tee and in when it comes to 10 minutes you are watching your satellite TV. Seamlessly switches among satellites as you alter channels with only when it comes to a second of delay.

5Love the Winegard
By Robby Texas
This dish works great. Just plug it in and boom!!! you get all of your satellite signals with no hassel. When you change from one satellite to the other it is seamless. I do nonetheless have a slight problem with the power cord not making a good connection. Most everytime I connect the power cord I have to wiggle the connector to get a connection. It is not a huge problem and the satellite dish has worked everytime. Set up is easy and quick. I would commend this product to all of my friends!!!

Send in the toughest gang you've got...and name a new sheriff who'll last regarding 24 hours. But that's not in truth the plot of Blazing Saddles, just the pretext. Once Mel Brooks' lunatic film a good deal of call his best gets started, logic is lost in a blizzard of gags, jokes, quips, puns, howlers, growlers and outrageous assaults upon good taste or any taste at all. 5Forget Political Correctness ....
By Michael K. Beusch
Blazing Saddles is one of the great comedies of all time. Unfortunately, it's likely that no major studio today would release it. South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, Something About Mary and American Pie (all hilarious movies which I would highly recommend, by the way) incorporate toilet humor that makes Mel Brooks at his most graphic seem like a Disney movie in comparison. However, today's politically rectify Hollywood would be horrified with a comedy that uses racial epithets left and right, worrying with regards to the backlash that subject matter would cause.

This is too bad because Blazing Saddles shows that such language, given the right context, may genuinely combat bigotry by showing how stupid it in truth is. Cleavon Little, as Sheriff Bart, and Gene Wilder, as The Waco Kid, are staged as islands of sanity in a sea of ignorant, racist townspeople. The 'n' word is thrown out repeatedly, but is intended as an insult to the persons who say it rather than a slur versus blacks. Mel Brooks, a very liberal Democrat, recognized that racism is offensive and nasty in nature and showed it in it is unfeigned light in Blazing Saddles. As a result, the film does more to ridicule racism and bigotry than most severe "message films" on the same subject ever could.

Unfortunately, the corporate suits who now run the big studios are more worried with regards to effigy and profits than constructing quality movies. As long as a film offends as few people as possible and appeals to as numerous members of the ordinary public as possible (preferably amongst the ages of 18 and 35), the executives like it -- even if the film has no originality or artistic merit at all. As a result, films like Blazing Saddles and TV shows like All in the Family are taboo these days. Hollywood has lost a lot of daring and courage since 1974. See Blazing Saddles and you will realize just how much.

5"My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets..."
By M. Hart
"...of thought cascading into a waterfall of originative alternatives." Thus spoke Hedley Lamarr (Harvey Korman), the State Procurer, Attorney General and Assistant to the Governor as he plotted versus the residents of Rock Ridge in Mel Brooks' hilarious western spoof "Blazing Saddles", which was primary freed to theaters in 1974. With the meager budget of only $2.6-million, the film grossed over $119.5-million, making it the most eminent grossing western of all time until the release of "Dances with Wolves" in 1990, which grossed over $184-million. The success of "Blazing Saddles" is attributable in huge part to the superb direction and writing (in conjunction with various other writers) of Mel Brooks, who (of course) likewise acted in the film in three distinguished roles: as Gov. William J. LePetomaine, an Indian chief and a World War I aviator. Equally primary are the some very gifted comedic actors who brought the film to life.

The plot of "Blazing Saddles", as I eluded to in my review opening, takes place mainly in the fictional old-west town of Rock Ridge, whose residents seemingly all have the same last name and who have been mercilessly besieged by a group of thugs who are lead by a man named Taggart (Slim Pickens, 1919-1983). After the thugs kill the sheriff of Rock Ridge, the residents send an urgent plea to Gov. LePetomaine to without delay appoint a new sheriff. Gov. LePetomaine delegates the appointment to his assistant Hedley Lamarr, whose nefarious mystery agenda is the destruction of Rock Ridge to make way for a new railroad line. Lamarr devises what he believes will be the final, unconscionable inducement to the residents of Rock Ridge for them to vacate: the appointment of a black sheriff, Black Bart (Cleavon Little, 1939-1992). Most of the residents of Rock Ridge are aghast when Sheriff Bart rides into town. However, he speedily acquires a sidekick in Jim 'The Waco Kid' (Gene Wilder) and a lot of unsolicited attentions from the to a great extent accented visiting stage performer Lili Von Shtupp (Madeline Kahn, 1942-1999), whose passions include the consumption of schnitzengruben. The story proceeds to entertain as it builds to a climax that only the twisted comedic talent of Mel Brooks could devise. Also, in classic Mel Brooks fashion, the film includes various musical interludes that include the film's title song (sung by Frankie Laine), "The Ballad of Rock Ridge", "I'm Tired" (sung by Madeline Kahn), "The French Mistake" and "April in Paris". Other unforgettable characters include Olson Johnson (David Huddleston), Rev. Johnson (Liam Dunn, 1916-1976), Mongo (Alex Karras in his firstborn big-screen role), Howard Johnson (John Hillerman), Van Johnson (George Furth), Gabby Johnson (Jack Starrett, 1936-1989), Harriett Johnson (Carol DeLuise, a.k.a. Carol Arthur), Dr. Sam Johnson (Richard Collier, 1919-2000), Buddy Bizarre (Dom DeLuise) and a cameo by Count Basie (1904-1984). There were likewise assorted brief uncredited appearances by Anne Bancroft, Gilda Radner (1946-1989) and Rodney Allen Rippy who played Bart at age 5.

Overall, I rate "Blazing Saddles" with a resounding 5 out of 5 stars. It is a hysterically amusive film that I may highly commend to everyone. Though none of Mel Brooks' other films were as financially successful as "Blazing Saddles", a lot of are noteworthy of mention, including "The Producers" (1968), "Young Frankenstein" (1974), "High Anxiety" (1978), "The History of the World, Part 1" (1981) and "Spaceballs" (1987).

4Blazing Saddles
By D. Knox
It is one of those comedies that you either like or hate. I liked it, I think that too a good deal of people take themselves so seriously. Blazing saddles gives a relief to that narrow type of outlook. I think that if you just receive it as a comedy, and don't try to make it more than it is. It's a comedy, and plain and simple a very good one. It a parody on everything that people look for to take an issue on. Lighten up ,and just enjoy.

How Good Is Satellite Direct

by on May.26, 2011, under Uncategorized

Are you fascinated in getting a free satellite tv system? Unless you've been living underneath a rock for the past five years, you've heard in regards to the free deals that Direct TV and Dish Network are giving to their online customers. Sure these offers sound great, but what's the catch?

Dish Network and Direct TV are giving away free satellite tv systems and installation in up to 4 rooms to first-time customers. They're likewise supplying free upgrades to their DVR and HDTV receivers, and normally give discounts on programming or free upgrades to your programming package for the primary few months. Obviously, these are outstanding deals, but there are a few things you must know before ordering your new satellite tv scheme online.

Activation Fees?

Dish Network charges a one-time fee of $49.99, but you get it back as a credit to your primary bill. Direct TV doesn't charge you any upfront fee, but you may have to compensate for shipping if your deal doesn't include it. Both companies charge a little deposit if you have bad credit.

Do I have to sign a contract?

That's right! Since Dish Network or Direct TV is giving you rather a bit of free service and equipment, they want to make sure you'll stay a paying client until they've made their cash back. This means you will have to agree to an 18 month contract (similar to a cell phone contract) with Dish Network. Direct TV's contract varies according to your system. You will sign a 1 year contract for normal or HD systems, and a 2 year contract if you opt for a DVR system.

Here's the bottom line.

Now, the authorized dealers of these two satellite tv companies don't precisely publicize the activation fees and the contracts required for these free deals. They just don't want to scare you away before you've seen the offers. Even with the contracts and activation fees, these are still great deals.

5Pleasantly surprised!
By NJ Educator
I will have to say I was enjoyably amazed by how well this product works.

I have an 07 Accord so it was a bit of a PITA figuring out how to get to the radio antenna in the dash. If you google around for your car and "remove radio" you will undoubtedly find directions for accessing it. That was the most difficult percentage and it only took me in regards to 30 minutes from start out to finish.

I not long ago got the Starmate 4 for my car. I had one of the old primary Audiovox units from when Sirius was original starting up. It was huge, bulky, I had lost the mount for it, and it got VERY hot when in operation. Almost so hot that you couldn't touch it. Hence I decisive to upgrade to a newer model. When I received and installed the Starmate I was astonished to see that the built-in FM modulator was horrible. And when I connected the FM antenna extender it came with, it made the sound WORSE. The static made it closely unlistenable through my radio. I googled around and found that the FCC had stepped in and regulated the amount of power the FM modulators were permitted to emit. So my Audiovox unit was better in that fashion since it was built before the FCC rules were established.

To fix the problem I got this Wired Relay Adapter. Basically you plug your car's antenna into it, then plug the wire into your radio. The other end routes through your dash and goes into your Sirius radio. The reception is 100% clear now. No more static. The downside is that you have to a) do not forget to turn off the Sirius radio if you want to listen to FM because it kills all of the stations, and b) no matter of whether it is on or off it kills AM reception. I don't oftentimes listen to AM and guess I don't have a need now (except for local TV stations).

All in all I am VERY happy with this product. It took a Starmate that sounded worse than an old Audiovox I had, and made it MUCH better in the end. 100% worth the $19.99 for this item if you have the know-how to get into your dash.

5Sirius FMDA25 Wired FM Relay Adapter
By Bob D.
Great product. I had major difficultnesses with radio station interference when using the Sirius radio without this product. Once installed it disconnects the external antenna and does away with the interference problems. When your Sirius radio is turned off, your external antenna works normally.

I highly commend this product if you can't use a direct connection from your Sirius radio to your car radio.

4Works well, but there may be surprises
By Dave K.
This piece does what's promised. It provides a consistent, clear signal far better than the built-in transmitter. It does away with much of the clutter of the cassette-tape adapter and does the occupation in cars that don't have cassette players.
Installation isn't too tricky for home installation, but so some cars these days have manufacturer-specific antenna inputs and outputs that there's a good chance you'll need adapters. They're more highpriced than they ought to be (about $10 to $30-plus), and the Ford version is a lot harder to find than GM.

Unless you're building a baseball diamond in the middle of nowhere, the "If you build it they will come" principle merely will not work for your home business or online store. One thing that satellite TV or cable does have to offer is lower prices on promotion than established television stations. Because of the sheer number of stations offered on both platforms, you may also find that you may cater to a more purposed audience. For example, let's say you trade discount fishing furnishes online - you may be sure that the viewers looking at your spot on the Outdoors Network are on intermediate far more fascinated in what you have to offer than those who see your spot for the duration of a makeover show. Don't throw out TV advertising as an option; compare prices and see if you may make it work for you.

Optimize Your Website for Search Engines

Online advert opens up venues for syndication your home or online business that are ten times more aimed than satellite TV advertising. If done properly, your Website could appear on the primary page of Google or Yahoo whenever somebody searches for the keywords that describe your company. There are plentiful resources online to help you get started, as well as masters and firms that specialize in online merchandising solutions.

What if each client only cost 10 cents?

Pay-per-click marketing, also normally referred to as search engine marketing, involves you placing ads on a search engine that will appear each time somebody searches a keyword you choose. If that person sees your ad and clicks on it, you pay Google 10 cents, or notwithstanding much you are bidding. The top spot normally goes to the most eminent bidder. That means that in as little as 20 minutes, your online TV instrumentation store could appear at the top of the list when somebody searches for "Satellite TV" in Yahoo. This is a cost-effective method that has been proven in the past to drive aimed traffic to Websites.

Everybody loves getting a letter...

Even in the day and age of satellite TV and radio, cell phones little than credit cards, and truckloads of data journeying through the Internet each day, you ought to not discount the effectiveness of mailing a postcard or advertising through "Snail Mail." Compared to the purposed advert of pay-per-click and search engine optimization, mailings may seem like a waste of cash and time. But besides potential clients and clients you may acquire from the postcards, you likewise receive intangible gains that are worth considering. A professional advertizing will do wonders in increasing your name acknowledgement of the community amidst which you intend to do business. 4works but don't suppose miracles
By C. D. Hardison
Bought a TV Ears and came upon that it wouldn't work with my LCD TV. So found the Clarity after substantial search. The descriptions sounded so good I got one for myself, and one for my father-in-law. We both have the hearing loss problem best characterized by being unable to comprehend the words even when the volume is up. The tone controls on this unit aid a little, but it's still a problem with clarity. If you're looking for the clarity of a digital phone, my "Clarity" doesn't provide it. If you want a unit that lets you turn up the sound in your ears without blasting the family with volume increase at the TV set, this is a winner. And yes, this one works with LCD big screens!

I got this for my Father for when he comes over. He used to come over to stay with us which was great until we had to watch TV. We thought we were at a rock concert. He has a similar head set at home but I wasn't impressed. Worked ok but never actually got the sound of the head set to work for when you turned it up the sound was distorted so was looking for a better quality head set and found it.

5Clarity C120 Professional Wireless TV Amplifier
By Eric Sandbagger
Using this unit, I need not raise the volume of LCD HDTV set to recompense for the slight loss of my high-frequency hearing abilities. It worked fine for in regards to 4 months, then of a sudden stopped working. Every time I put on the headset, it worked for a few seconds and then quit. I almost gave up using this product, but a careful re-reading of the (well-written) User Guide led to the solution of my problem.

Tv Par Satellite

by on May.26, 2011, under Uncategorized

When asked why they have decisive not to go with satellite programming, the reasons most humans give are based upon mutual myths rather of facts. Here are a few of the myths that people give as a reason that they haven't switched, and the facts that set those myths straight.

Myth #1 - Satellite television programming is far too highpriced for me.

This is one of the most mutual reasons persons quote for not getting satellite television, and it couldn't be further from the truth. As we have continued to make advances in technology, the price of satellite television has dropped substantially. Now, satellite television programming is rather affordable. In fact, the price of satellite television is comparable to what you would recompense for cable. Some satellite suppliers have programming packages that are less costly than or right on par with what you'd pay for cable television and you get the same amount of or even more channels.

Myth #2 - The instrumentation and installation cost hundreds of dollars.

While this employed to be the case at one point in time, this is no longer true. Most cable companies will offer the instrumentation and the installation for free in interchange for signing up for their services for a set amount of time of time, ordinarily one or two years. There is a piece of hardware called a DVR, or digital video recorder, that will once in a while have an extra charge affiliated with it, but this piece of instrumentation isn't necessary for basic satellite programming. Also, a great deal of companies will offer this piece of instrumentation for free or for a low price when you sign a service contract.

Myth #3 - My satellite TV will go out as soon as it begins to rain.

As long as your satellite instrumentation is the right way installed, you may still get enjoyment from a clear picture in bad weather. This is one of the reasons that it's necessary to let your satellite provider's technicians install the instrumentation for you. In severe weather your service may experience interruptions, but these normally last for minutes or hours, or whatsoever the duration of the storm is, whereas cable television services may be interrupted out for hours or days at a time.

Myth #4 - Satellite Television Doesn't Offer as Clear a Picture as Cable Does.

Not only is this false, but it's also the finish opposite of the truth. Whereas only a good deal of cable programming is available in digital quality and there's oftentimes an extra charge involved to get those or more, all satellite programming is broadcast in digital quality. It's likewise available in high def, and a heap of humans may receive this programming upgrade free of charge. This means clearer picture and audio quality.

These are only a few of the myths that numerous persons quote as the reason they don't want to switch to satellite television services, but they are also the most common. Don't believe everything that you listen in regards to satellite television. Read up on data that comes from the satellite television suppliers themselves to get dependable data and set the other myths straight.

Satellite Tv Providers

by on May.26, 2011, under Uncategorized

The satellite tv industry has made big gains on the cable tv industry in the past assorted years. With the price of cable tv skyrocketing each year, galore cable subscribers are making the switch over to satellite tv. Okay so you've decisive to switch to satellite tv; but which satellite tv provider do you choose? A satellite tv provider is a company that owns and operates satellites in geostationary orbit around the earth. These satellites broadcast the satellite signal down to your satellite dish and from their the signal is transposed to your receiver (black box). The two biggest satellite tv suppliers in the United Sates are DirecTV and DISH Network. The vast majority of satellite tv subscribers in the United States use one or the other so this article will concentrate on comparing the two satellite giants in an try to help you determine which of the two is best for you.

With the almost exponential growth of the satellite tv industry, both DISH Network and DirecTV are now in a position where they may afford to offer the satellite instrumentation (dish and receivers) free to their subscribers. So for starters both DISH Network and DirecTV offer free satellite equiipment. Basically the only qualifiers are that you be a original time subscriber and that you have a credit card for regularly every month billing purposes. So if the instrumentation is free how do the two suppliers make any money? Well, you do have to remunerate for the on a monthly basis programming of course. The price of your per month programming bill depends on which programming package you choose.

DISH Network's America Top 60 programmng package starts at $24.99 per month and local channels are available. DISH Network presently is not making new subscribers commit to a one year contract. You may end your subscription at any time with no financial penalty to pay. DirecTV's entry level programming package is called the Total Choice package and comes with local channels and is $39.99 per month. With the Total Choice package you get over 130 channels. DirecTV does require you to sign a one year subscription agreement. If you cancel your service before the year is up, then you have to pay a penalty fee to DirecTV.

As both satellite giants use the very lates engineering in their satellites and receiving equipment, what differentiates the two is in the programming choices that they provide to their subscribers. I would rate DirecTV more or less in front of the DISH Network in their sports packages, as they offer seasonal sports choices like the N.F.L. Sunday Ticket that DirecTV has exclusive rights to. Both suppliers offer tons of premium movie packages to choose from including HBO, Showtime, Starz and Cinemax. All these come with multiple channels per movie package. As DISH Network has more satellites in orbit than DirecTV does they have the capacity to offer up to 500 watching channels, whereas with DirecTV, you may 'only' get 250 channels. Also, DISH Network offers alot more alien programming packages than DirecTV does.

Both DISH Network and DirecTV offer 100% digital picture and CD quality sound in all of their programming. So again, they are tied in this necessary quality. This engineering science allows for a crystal clear perfective picture that cable tv plainly can not provide.

DISH Network, a subsidiary of EchoStar Communications, was founded in 1996 by Charles Ergan. While not rather as old as DirecTV, DISH Network was the quickest satellite provider to reach the 100,000 subscriber level doing so in just four short months. Presently, DISH Network has over Nine million satellite tv subscribers in the 50 United States and District of Columbia. DISH Network has galore 'firsts' to it is credit, including being the basi company to offer a satellite tv receiver that had a built in DVR (digital video recorder).

DirecTV was started out in 1994 and is the biggest satellite tv provider in the United States. When it primary launched in 1994, Direct TV was the original satellite TV company to offer all digital-quality, multi-channel TV programming through the use of direct broadcast satellite (DBS) technology. DBS engineering is now the frequent for the satellite tv industry and we have the ingenuity of the DirecTV engineers to thank for it. While DirecTV does not have as huge a bandwidth percentage as the DISH Network does, to counter this DirecTV has arranged to have to exclusive deals with programming companies to cater to the programming whims of their subscribers.

In the all important area of client care, both DirecTV and DISH Network offer outstanding client care and support. Both offer online Faqs subdivisions and support sectionalizations to their websites. You may also call both toll free to get aid with any problem you may be having. Pay-Per-View movies may be ordered either by using your remote control or calling the 800 toll free number for either provider.

Both DirecTV and DISH Network offer free professional installation as part of their free satellite tv promotions. One divergence is that DirecTV will install your instrumentation for free in up to five rooms, where DISH Network presently only installs for free in up to four rooms of your home.

RATING DISH NETWORK and DIRECTV POINT by POINT:

  • Satellite instrumentation - DirecTV - FREE; DISH Network - FREE
  • Satellite Installation - DirecTV - FREE (up to 5 tv's) DISH Network - FREE (up to 4 tv's)
  • Picture Quality - DirecTV - Outstanding DISH Network - Outstanding
  • Pricing - DirecTV Total Choice Package $39.99 per month DISH Network America's Top 60 Package $24.99 per month
  • Programming Quantity - DirecTV offers programming packages up to 250 channels DISH Network has the capacity to offer up to 500 channels
  • Programming Quality - DirecTV has outstanding programming package choices with a heavy special importance and significance on seasonal sports packages. DISH Network also has outstanding programming package choices with somewhat less of an special importance and significance on sports.
  • Customer Care - DirecTV - Outstanding with both online and 800 toll free support. DISH Network - Outstanding with both online and 800 toll free support.

FINAL CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATION:

Both DISH Network and DirecTV offer an outstanding television observing experience. The picture reception for both is far superior to that of cable tv. DISH Network's entry level package is for less than DirecTV's; but then the Total Choice package comes with alot more channels. DirecTV is more inviolable in the area of sports coverage, while DISH Network places more or less more of an special importance and significance on it is premium movie packages and alien programming options. And both have great client care, both having won the honored J.D. Power Award in recent years for providing the best overall service amid satellite and cable subscribers.

Our recommendation is that both DirecTV and DISH Network offer a superior television watching experience than cable tv. Both are alot for less than cable, offer superior picture quality and free instrumentation and instalation. Both also offer superior client care service equated to local cable providers. If you're a big sports fan and just have to have that sure premium sports package, then DirecTV is for you; but if you're not a huge sports fan and cost is an issue, then you might want to go with DISH Network and it's entry level America's Top 60 at just $24.99 a month. Also, do not forget that DirecTV will require a one year commitment, whereas with the DISH Network there is no contract to sign, meaning you may cancel your service at anytime and not have to remunerate a penalty.

Whichever satellite provider you choose, you can't go wrong. As a subscriber of the DISH Network and a sales person that has various years experience in the satellite tv industry (have sold both DirecTV & DISH Network)I highly commend that you drop cable, stop feeding the pig and switch to satellite tv service today. The vastly superior picture quality alone that DBS satellite engineering provides makes it worth the change. It's like heaven watching tv with no more squiggly lines running throughout the tv screen!

3Why not to buy
By Dancer99
I purchased the VIP 211k receiver and find that Dish Network charges the same $7 on a monthly basis fee whether you own or rent the receiver from them. So, in fact, it costs way more to own a receiver. Seems strange since I had hoped to save the on a monthly basis fee by owning.

It has a lot of improvemnts to basic features such as the remote sensor on it is very wide and it lights up saying HDTV but that's not all the main improvment is how it locks in on HDTV signals quickly without hesitation different from the old ViP 211. Not to mention that it's more compact and might have more memory in it. Basically it's a very nice reciever from Dish Network. "The Leader in Satellite and HDTV" :)

5A will have to for new DISH receiver DIYers.
By Odd Ball
Extremely happy with performance, got satellite 129 for HD programming perfectly. It seems that with the new DISH HD receivers, the point dish system only works with 119 and 110 or whatsoever depending on the antenna system you entered (but not all the satellites). With this, got the azimuth and elevation from the web website in the picture above and then pointed it at that area and with some minor adjustments got the signal peaking actually well. Signal was gorgeous strong so I used an RG-59 cable and set the needle mid-meter and was capable to obtain finer adjustment. Performed my check switch, and 129 satellite showed up. It seems that this 129 satellite has a higher elevation than the last one when I performed a check switch 2.5 years ago (I believe dish swopped from Echostar V to Ciel 2 for 129). End result, Voila, more HD channels. Certainly better than paying for a service call.

Satellite Television

Here is a great deal of data with regards to satellite TV.

Satellite television or satellite TV is television delivered by way of orbiting communications satellites located 37,000 km above the earth's surface.

The initial satellite TV signal was relayed from Europe to the Telstar satellite over North America in 1962. The introductory domestic North American satellite to carry television was Canada's Anik 1, which was launched in 1973.

Satellite TV, like other communications relayed by satellite, starts with a transmitting satellite antenna located at an uplink facility. Uplink satellite dishes are directed toward the satellite that it is signals will be transmitted to, and are very large, as much as 9 to 12 meters (30 to 40 feet) in diameter. The more spectacular the satellite dish, the more precise positioning and bettered signal reception at the satellite. The satellite TV signals is transmitted to appliances located on-board the satellite called transponders, which retransmit the satellite signal back towards the Earth at a dissimilar frequency.

The satellite signal, rather weak after traveling through space, is accumulated by a parabolic receiving dish, which reflects the weak signal to the dish's focal point and is received, down-converted to a lower frequency band and amplified by a device called a low-noise block down converter, or LNB.

A new form of satellite antenna, which does not use a directed parabolic dish and may be employed on a mobile platform such as a vehicle, was not long ago declared by the University of Waterloo. On ordinarily known as car satellite system.

The satellite TV signal, now amplified, travels to a satellite TV receiver box through coaxial cable (RG-6 or RG-10; cannot be popular RG-59) and is converted by a local oscillator to the L-band range of frequencies (approximately). Special on-board electronics in the receiver box aid tune the signal and then convert it to a frequency that a frequent television may use.

As you known, satellite TV business in United States are primarily overshadowed by two companies, Dish Network and DirecTV. If you would like to have a satellite TV in your home, your selections are largely fixed to the free satellite TV packages that offered by either one Dish Network or DirecTV.

Here's a quick view on United States satellite TV industry: Hughes's DirecTV, the original high-powered DBS system, went online in 1994 and was the primary North American DBS service. In 1996, Echostar's Dish Network went online in the United States and has gone on to similar success.

Satellite Tv Free

by on May.26, 2011, under Uncategorized

Would you like the comfortableness of looking at satellite TV on PC? Did you even know there was such a program available and that it is giving cable and satellite providers' cause for alarm?

It's true that numerous persons around the globe are addicted to some type of television format be it drama shows, sport shows, cartoons, movies or music. This is particularly unfeigned of Americans who can't seem to get sufficient television channels and are clamoring for more and more.

Now with the computer age genuinely taking off and the introduction to the Internet, it was only a matter of time before a good deal of software program like satellite TV for PC became obtainable. For the past three or so years, it has been pushing those who want more channels from the living room couch or the beds in the bedrooms to the ease of their dining/computer rooms. Many of these humans are seeing the gains behind satellite TV on PC.

One such gain to the software is how much cash you spend to get satellite TV on PC. Some humans assume the software cost too much but it actually doesn't. In fact, the software may be purchased for as little as $50. Others think it is like regular cable and satellite suppliers and that there is a regularly every month fee. Surprise! A person may watch satellite TV for free. Yes, for free. The only cost out of a person's pocket is the one-time fee.

Another gain to the satellite TV on PC software is how commodious it is to obtain. Again, all you have to recompense for is the software. Once this has been done (through the Internet usually), it may be downloaded and installed in no time flat. In fact, a beginner to the Internet and even to the computer must have no disturb getting this step done.

Now, this step is made much having little impact by a computer that has three things: access to a high-speed Internet line, a fast processing speed (needed once the software is downloaded and installing) and some hard drive space for the software. Once these are aligned then, you may commence enjoying free satellite TV.

Another gain to this software is how a heap of channels may be found through it. Already some streaming videos are offered through station websites like TNT.com or USA.com; yet there are still over 3,000 channels that are providing quality sports, cartoons, drama, comedy, movies and music programming.

All these channels ought to be obtainable with much ease. Though a person may search through a Yahoo or the Google search engine then, getting any of these links ought to be done with user-friendly software even computer gurus.

5Incredibly Good Indoor Antenna
By A. R. Harris
Having expended a bundle acquiring a Sony LCD HDTV and upgrading our Dish service to include it is fixed set of HDTV channels, we were anxious to see what an Over-the-Air Antenna might add.

In all, we tested 5, including the highly ranked Zenith log periodic (about $40 at Sears), an amplified Samsung (about $99 at Best Buy), an outdoor Terk 32 (about $80 at Circuit City), our old roof mounted VHF/UHF antenna (circa 1985), and the amplified Terk HDTVa (about $50 at Radio Shack). The Terk HDTVa won hands down; no contest, blowing away the much touted Zenith.

We live in the sparsely populated, low hill countryside of Western Massachuetts. The THDTVa effortlessly brings in amidst 20 and 30 analogue and digital (incl hdtv) channels broadcast most from 12 to 45 miles away, and a great deal of as far as 65+ miles away in Connecticut. Some digital OTA channels genuinely come in more sharply than some of the (Dish) satellite digital channels.

This is unquestionably a keeper: a great value, gem of an antenna. So good, in fact, we are debating giving up our $50/month Dish service, putting $15 of that to Netflix to replace HBO, and banking the remaining $35.

4Works for me
By TerrierLover
I'm in SF Bay Area, with regards to 30 miles from Sutro Tower. This was my firstborn antenna and it worked out of the box for me. It is not perfective and I'm keeping among 70 and 90% signal strength on all the majors with better reception than satellite. I can't compare it to any others but to say "it doesn't work" is insane. You won't know until you try it. This is not an all or not one thing deal. It will work great for some, not at all for others and anyplace in between.

To check your specific situation, I commend you undertake www.antennaweb.org. Click button on initial page, enter your full address and you will get a report distinctive to your home with regards to how/where your channels are broadcast, including a map showing precisely how you will have to point your antenna. In my case, all my required channels were "yellow" and all in the same compass direction. If you are very far from broadcast source or channels are coming from galore dissimilar directions, it may not work. However, with good return policy, it can't hurt to try.

2Antennas Compared
By YSC
I'm a introductory timer at getting OTA HDTV. This has been an experiment in progress for the past 5 weeks. I have gone through four antennas (they are all here as I write this) before finding something that's adequate for the purpose (rather than tolerable).

I live around 25 miles from Manhattan, where the towers of most TV stations are located. I am also conscious of the directional data from [...], and have experimented hence with it is effects on reception. My apartment's windows all face north, while the signals all comes from southwest. I cannot get signals from where it comes from, and therefore necessitated to get signals from deflections perchance off nearby buildings and trees. It's a very poor circumstance for over-the-air reception, perchance just somewhat better than being underground. Signals are weak, and are affected by weather. Stormy and windy days have shown effects at disrupting signal reception.

With this said, and without going into much detail, let's talk with regards to the antennas. Now all these antenna have been tested with the same equipment, setup, directional adjustments, location, etc. etc. and have been tested through good an foul weather, day and night, to detect differences.

1.Terk HDTVa Terk HDTVa Indoor Amplified High-Definition Antenna for Off-Air HDTV Reception- After reading a lot of rave reviews and high ratings at [...], log periodic types (looks like a fishbone) seems to be the way to go. I got the Terk HDTVa first, thinking that the amplification and VHF antenna will have to nail my reception difficulties at the start. However, after more than two weeks of fidgeting around ad nauseam (directions, locations, amplifications, dissimilar devices, etc.), I only managed to pick up two ATSC channels' signals, and even those don't have strong sufficient signals to display anything. I thought possibly it's just my poor location, and that I will have to in all probability give up on the attempt. The included in-line amplifier dongle doesn't work at all. Powering it on makes no divergence in signal strength readings, which hovered around 5-10%.

It is well built, looks nice, good concepts, but it just didn't work.

2.Phlips PHDTV1 Philips PHDTV1 Digital HDTV-UHF Indoor Antenna- The venerated "silver sensor" which was antecedently sold underneath the Zenith brand likewise had outstanding ratings and reviews. It's in fact almost legendary. I decided, in desperation, to undertake it out, even if it doesn't have amplification. It seems all my local HD channels are in UHF anyway, so I won't miss the VHF dipoles.

The unit has startlingly poorer build quality equated to the Terk. It has paint bubbles, hairs and dusts trappings in the paint, sharp edged cheap plastics and much thinner metal blades that's covered in oil and has a heap of dings and bendings. I wasn't impressed with the quality, and didn't suppose much from it as I set it up.

To my surprise, it picked up 9 working channels (note: the terk got two channels' signals, but they didn't work) from the start, even if it's randomly placed. It's thrilling as it was the primary time I saw OTA HDTV. After a lot of adjustment and emplacement experiments, I was competent to receive 19 channels. However, not all of these channels work well given the same direction.

The directionally sensible antenna needs to be adjusted as I switch channels. e.g. NBC and CBS seems to work well in one direction, while ABC has it is own favored direction, which works likewise with FOX. I tried as best as possible to find a compromise point where everything works. I couldn't. It just needs to be adjusted constantly.

The transmission is ofttimes dogged by reception fluctuations. Signal quality tend to vacillate rather a bit, in particular affected by weather. That means the TV playback would get choppy at times, with it is severity dependent on the direction I point the antenna at. I didn't think vacillating signals was a characteristic until I tried the latter two antennas later. I also found that I had to constantly play with the directional positioning to get a stable signal from each of the stations.

It works, and I was impressed, but then in retrospect it could only be best described as a "tolerable" HDTV experience as I was struggling for a smooth signal delivery.

3.RCA ANT111 Basic Indoor Antenna- While buying goods in stores, I saw this basic and classic RCA loop/dipole antenna for less than $[...]. I couldn't protest the temptation to try it out, just for the heck of it. It is likewise a dissimilar type of antenna than the former two.

Again, I was surprised. This cheap antenna worked well, specially giving careful consideration to how it's only a fraction of the price of the two I'd tried. I ended up getting 17 channels, a few less than the PHDTV1, with the same emplacement and setup. Some channels likewise don't work, even if signals were detected. The quality of the signals seems to be the key.

So what's so special with regards to it? It queerly had better signal deliverance for the channels that worked. It's not as choppy, and quality level is very steady. It is also not as affected by directional positioning. I was for the firstborn time capable to view FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC without adjusting the antenna. However, the lack of directionality likewise makes it equivocal when I lost the signal. It seems that there's no "favorite direction" for the channels, which likewise means I can't pull in more inviolable signals at my choosing. It is likewise rather susceptible to weather changes, peculiarly wind (which in all probability affected signals reflected by trees?)

The signal strength likewise seems to be a little weaker, even though the signal quality tend to be higher in general. That probably contributed to the smoother video delivery. It likewise tempted me to get a similar design that has amplification.

4.Philips MANT510 Philips High Performance Amplified Indoor Uhf/ Vhf/ Fm Antenna- This unit has a "digital TV optimized, patent pending UHF panel array". I thought I'd try it out just for the somewhat dissimilar antenna design, if not just for the adaptable amplification.

Well, it works, and works rather well. The antenna doesn't work without power, and with amplification turned off it works a little less than unpowered PHDTV1 and ANT111. Yet with the amplification turned on, I get 24 channels, with strength up to 81% (compared to 3-10% unamplified, and quality systematically above 60 and normally in the 70-90%+. That generates the most dependable video deliverance of all the ones tried.

While thunderstorms still managed to distrupt signals, it's much less many times and only momentarily. I also don't have to worry with regards to hunting for signals as I just point it in one standard direction and I get everything but three NJN channels (they are even further from here.. perchance a good 50 miles).

I at last may just set the antenna and forget it. It lets me focus on the programming rather than antenna adjustment. While it needs to be powered, it gives me the selfassurance to ultimately get enjoyment from HDTV, rather than tweaking and tolerating it. It's good sufficient that I may in all likelihood stop searching. I hope it'll be helpful to you who may be going through the same purchasing decision nausea as I have.

5Couldn't be happier
By AWBoater
This little unit is a outstanding item. I purchased it for two reasons, first, it is plug-n-play, and second, it offers ala-carte selections.

What is ala-carte? For a for less per month satellite bill, you may select up to 50 channels (minus the premium channels). I went for it, and in truth was struggling to find 50 channels I liked. Other channels such as Margaritaville are indicated as premium, so they are a little add on cost. But all in all, suppose to remunerate from 60% to 75% for the ala-carte cost than the full package.

Admittedly the ala-carte price has risen over the years, but it is still for less than the full package.

I use this unit in 4 locations; which required the buy of a couple of docking stations.

My boat. I have an Alpine iDA-x100 head unit with a compatible satellite interface so I may use this unit on the boat. Since the Starmate 5 is controlled by the head unit, the logical choice was to mount it inside a hanging locker in the rear cabin so it was out of the way. The unit hangs on the locker's wall; safe and secure. And the unit is locked onto the docking station. Depressing the docking station release, and the unit pops off.

My car. I likewise have a docking station in the car, so it may be plugged into the car's stereo system. You actually need an upgraded stereo scheme for this, as an FM modulator is not a good substitute - no matter of whether you are attempting to listen to an iPod, satellite receiver, or any other audio device. The idea is that the FM modulator will play through an unused FM channel. But as you travel along the highway, stations come and go, which constantly interfere with the "unused" channel.

Some FM setups are capable of disabling the antenna for the car stereo, and that is the only solution I see as working. However, even if such as set up is used, the audio quality is suspect. Therefore, I would commend a "proper" configuration, meaning low level RCA inputs. This may mean replacing your stereo, or buying a 3rd party adapter designed for your factory radio.

Ironically, I already have a factory XM satellite receiver in my car, which I applied for awhile. But for billing purposes, Sirius and XM are still considered discerned companies, so you do not get a multi-unit discount if you have one Sirius and one XM unit.

And I have found that the car's XM receiver, due to the geosynchronous satellite orbits, is prone to dropouts when you do not have a clear sky, such as driving behind a hill, in a city with nearby huge buildings, or even a tree-lined boulevard.

Consequently, Sirius uses 3 polar orbiting satellites, and one of them is always in the neighborhood, which results in less dropouts. You may still get a dropout or two with a Sirius system, for instance you are downtown with high buildings, you may lose signal. But it is much less of a problem than XM as one of the satellites is in general at a higher overhead angle.

Perhaps the most difficult decision in the car is where to mount the satellite unit. I use a RAM-Mount cup holder setup which works great. Since the use in the car is temporary (when the unit is not home or in the boat), I merely pop the mount in the cup holder and plug the wires in when needed. This likewise allows me to without apparent effort and quickly remove the scheme when I park the car so it is not tempting to thieves.

Fortunately, my car has a set of RCA level aux inputs - conveniently concealed in the arm rest, so I may connect the Starmate to those and the cables are not scarcely noticeable. But since I remove the whole shebang when not being used, this is not an issue.

Installing the antenna and docking station in the car was not even as hard as installing a car stereo. You do need some basic skills, and may need to figure out how to remove a panel or two along the way. But it is not difficult.

My home. I also have a home docking station that I may use the Starmate to listen to satellite at home. I even purchased the remote antenna set up to attach to my house exterior. You'll find that most houses have some disturb with the proper reception of the signal, and the best counsel if you want a home system is to buy a external antenna.

All of these solutions require plug-n-play docking stations, which are also available from the manufacturer of the Starmate 5.

Finally, I also have a portable "boom-box" adapter for the Starmate 5.

The best attribute of this unit - other than the ala-carte feature - is that it is portable, and the station ID is percentage of the unit itself. And with plug-n-play, you may move the unit from docking station to docking station and have satellite in your home, car, and boat without having to compensate for multiple receivers.

3Good and bad.....
By Onecooldad
I have been a subscriber to Sirius for rather a long time, before Howard Stern jumped aboard. I have had the same radio for that time, the Sirius Sportster replay. Recently, the lights on the radio went out, so I looked to replace it. I came throughout this radio, liked the way it looked, so I purchased it. Well, I have mixed sensations regarding it. I use the radio in 2 vehicles, one being a work truck. The Starmate 5 works great in my car, due to the use of the Aux input on the Starmate and my car's stereo. No noise, static.. crystal clear and wonderful. The issue I have is with the FM transmitter. When in my work truck, I need to use the FM transmitter. Well, this is a problem. On my old Sportster Replay, the FM transmitter was great... had no static on the FM station. Now, with the Starmate, I listen alot of background noise and static. Transmitter is weak, to say the least. I have tried multiple FM stations and have had no luck in silencing the noise. So, if you plan on using the aux input in your car with the Starmate, it works like a dream. Just be wary of the fact that the FM transmitter is weak, and you will listen noise over the FM station.

4Way better than FM radio
By BigHill35
I have had my Sirius radio for almost 5 years now , and mind you it is the same one. I was in a car accident and the car was totaled . I pulled out my Starmate and plugged it in to my home unit and it worked fine. Listen, if you buy this unit be prepared to remunerate for a subscription in which you get the full package of channels, do not buy just the discounted package or else you will become frustrated, disapponited and miss out on a heap of great programming. Oldies music, 70's , 80's old school , top 20, Elvis, Sinatra and anything else in between. The reception on the radio is almost CD quality and seldom do you loose a signal unless you drive into a garage or tunnel . Even in heavy rain and clouds normally you have outstanding reception. I've even drove from Oklahoma to Canada and the radio did not miss a beat. There are also dissimilar items you may buy such as a home docking kit and boombox to have more choices in regards to where you want to listen your radio. Sirius even goes further to have online control where you may listen the stream of music over the internet wherever you have an internet connection. The fee is in regards to 3 extra bucks or so a month. That means any wi-fi spot starbucks etc. I have a wireless router at home so im competent to stream the music all over the house to the laptop, ipad , or ipod with the sirius app you may get for free. I take it to the garage , bedroom etc.. The only con I have is that they have not in truth gone down on the price of the Starmate so will not going to buy another till the one I have breaks and merely does not work anymore. So make the best of your sirius radio, talk to others and see how they set up theirs. The choices on how you may listen are endless.

5Extremely satisfied with this user friendly product
By N. Shah
Excellent product, very easy to set up and use. Glad someone found how to make a device that will grant electronic gadgets that may only take ethernet connectiion but are far away from a Router and running a Cat5 Cable is not an option.

I have Replay TV DVR that only takes ethernet cable to update TV Guide and due to this I was stuck with using this unit only at a emplacement where I had access to ethernet cable, I purchased the Netgear WNCE2001 and now I am capable to use my Replay TV anyplace around the house.

I likewise tried connecting this to a 24 port switch and was capable to plug in gadgets into the switch and access internet...so in essence it made my 24 port switch into a 24 port wireless switch.

5Amazing Device and Price is Right!
By urban tech guy
WOW! I purchased the Netgear Universal Wifi Internet Adapter today and I was a little hesitant because it less highpriced than other similar gadgets I've seen. Once I got home I opened the package and my Mac computer was connected to my WiFi Connection at home within minutes, so simple to set up. You may do a WPS automatic Connection if your wireless router supports that feature or you may set up the device using your computer (which is how I connected my device). I powered up my device and then connected the included ethernet cable to my Mac and opened the browser. The Netgear setup screen appeared and showed all the wifi networks available near me. I chosen my network and less than a minute later I was connected. I suggest you connect the device wherever you're going to use it so you won't have to unplug and move the device like me. I purchased this adapter to connect my Samsung Blueray Player to the internet. Works perfectly, observing Netflix Streaming Movies and Listening to Pandora with no problems. Good range with this device as well, my wireless router (Belkin) is on the second floor of my house and the Netgear Internet Adapter is in the basement, works just fine.

5Very nice!
By SkyeNoir

When we initial got our PS3, I had looked and looked for something like this adapter but found nothing. (Our firstborn 20GB doesn't have built-in wifi). Getting the PS3 connected to the internet turned into numerous of a chore, finally resolving down to a mini PC with wifi providing network connectivity by way of Internet Connection Sharing underneath WinXP. Not a good setup.

On the side, I likewise do work on PCs and Macs. Getting them online for the latest OS updates, drives, etc was always a task that involved transporting loads of files thru USB drive and then adding a wifi dongle as needed. Not incisively ideal, but dragging an network cable around the place wasn't likeable either.

When the Netgear device came along, I was more than ready to give it a shot. Setting it up with our network data was quick and painless, just followed the onscreen instructions. Once done, I tested it with my netbook to make sure all was well. Within when it comes to 30 seconds, it was online and ready to go. Next came the PS3, which also accepted it without a hitch after half a minute or so. And finally, I started taking it around to respective computers and plugging it in. Not a single item balked at using it, and transfer speeds were very good.

About the only complaint I could make in regards to the unit is the time it takes to connect to your network initially. It's underneath a minute, but, I'm impatient. It surely takes a good deal longer than any of the other wifi enabled gimmicks we own. But, really, unless you're moving it around a lot, it isn't something you're likely to notice. (And you're likely to be more patient than me.)

One other thing I'd like to note is the dual power options. The unit comes with a little wallwart, but, you may power it up by way of USB port. Both work evenly well, and have their benefits. The divergence is that if you use USB, the unit will power up and down with whatsoever you have it plugged into, which is when you might see the lag in connecting. If you use the wallwart, then the unit stays on all the time and you will only see the lag the fist time you use it.

It's a very nice tool to have on hand, and the price is on par with a number of the ordinary USB wifi adapters that can't be programmed. So far, range hasn't been an issue, but I haven't tested it extensively. I likewise haven't tried using it as an input to another wifi router, even though I plan to at numerous point.

Is satellite TV for PC genuinely a scam? Some persons think that it is. There are respective reasons why a heap of people may think so. One of the biggest reasons is that numerous persons just do not grasp how Satellite TV for PC works. They don't know in regards to free-to-air satellite TV channels, promotion revenues and video streaming over the internet. If you grasp these conceptions you'll be capable to understand why most satellite TV channels are available for free over the internet.

Here are a good deal of reasons humans give when you ask them why they think satellite TV on PC is a scam:

1. Some people think it's too good to be true because there are no subscription fees or any per month fees.

The truth is that there are a good deal of satellite TV channels that do not charge subscription fees. They get cash from their advertisers. Then there's community TV, national TV and galore other types of satellite TV channels that are sponsored in one form or another. Satellite TV software gets all the TV streams from the internet and organises the channels so that you may be capable to watch them. It's similar to what the other satellite TV companies do. 5small but works GREAT!
By D. Evans
This is our second Winegard MP-1 dish (my brother-in-law just had to have our 1st one!)

To say this works well, is an understatement - it is fantastically easy to set up and align, decent fade margin underneath most conditions, and never gives us the slightest disturb - then, it is fantastically little and the package is utterly designed for storage (everything, including cables, (even 50' extra) sat alignment meters, sighting compass, (yes I recognise it comes with one, but I prefer my Suunto sighting compass) and a lot of various connectors)

When the automatic dish on our RV is blocked, this is a perfective work around (or it could be your ONLY dish for that matter)

There genuinely are no negatives for this little manual dish - If I have to come up with one, it may be a bit "twitchy" for the basi time user to set the elevation, but that's a "reach" to find something - azimuth is plainly not an issue peculiarly if you use the supplied base (but we seldom use the base) - no skew adjustment to deal with - we also don't use the water "weight" container, haven't necessitated it - If you do use the "weight down" container, perchance use "VERY DRY" sand in the winter

Price is VERY good in my sentiment and the product merely works!

I may scarcely believe how well it works!

Great space saver while journeying and camping. Quick and easy set-up. Can't blow over. Small and inconspicuous. Seems having little impact to acquire the satellite.

This is lightweight and compact, but seems genuinely sturdy. It was moderately easy to set up and works great. We use it with our RV...and even brought our cable service into my brother's TV when we visited him in the mountains.

5Really distinguishable version of the classic Spider-Man.
By Thomas Anderson
I purchased this DVD blind just because I wanted to see it and I've been getting into animation not long back in my DVD collecting. Let me tell ya folks, this is a great series...for assorted reasons.

1) The CG animation, altho a bit awkward at times with "regular" humane motion and such, it actually shines for the duration of the Spidey and villian "battles". Just the fact that the animation is all in 3D (put with a 2D look), allows the camera to do galore actually interesting things, from pans, to spins, to rotations, and fly-thrus, and of course, the ultra-cool slo-mo effects. This kind of camera control is something that just isn't possible in a traditionally hand-drawn cartoon.

2) The action sequences in general. This isn't your grandfather's Spider-Man. Much like Mainframe Entertainment's other CG shows, the action is much more mature than your general animated show. By that I mean the fight scenes and the "chases" are much more intense and, shall I say, violent than anything else I've seen in a cartoon such as this. In fact, there's genuinely moments of blood from both Spidey and his enemies. And as numerous of you may know, blood is closely always a "no-no" for childrens' animated shows. So just with that, the viewer may without apparent effort tell that this show was made for a much more mature audience, which is always good in this circumstance, specially for comic book heroes.

3) The audio and video presentation. The video is staged in 1.78 anamorphic widescreen and is exceedingly sharp. Even looks good on a computer thru DVD-ROM drive. And the soundtrack is recorded in both DTS and DD 5.1 (always a plus for any show, eh?) Also the widescreen formally presenting something gives the show a bit of a epic cinematic feel to it. How a good deal of cartoons do you recognise that were invented in widescreen?

4) The villians. The villians, a great deal of classic (with new looks), others new, were all great with possibly the exception of one, but that's to one's taste. I thought the Terradax group were awesome. Their suits and weapons were just too cool. And again, the maturity of the dialog for the villians and activenesses are just what makes these villians great.

So with all that said, let's all hope that this series gets picked up by numerous outlet for another season or more. I'd love to see what the creators could do with the Venon and Carnage saga. Hell, even Doc Oc, Green Goblin, and Hobgoblin would be great. But may we get Parker out of college? Being almost 10 years out myself, I despise the college atmosphere anymore. Too galore crazy activists and party animals.

5Spider-man the animated Series...REVAMPED!!!!
By A
One Word...AWESOME!!! I was a bit skeptical at first, it being on MTV and all, but I was impressed. I've been a huge fan of spider-man since I was like 4 or 5, and I got to see all the reruns of Spider-man and His awful Friends(ok, it was just ok...), and the original 1968 series.

When they came out with the SPIDER-MAN THE ANIMATED SERIES show, I was excessively affected emotionally with the premiere episode in December with the Lizard. Then Feb 4th of 1994 I was pumped. The show ended on a clif hanger. The that horrid show, SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED came on...Oh, the animation was ok, but the plots, the characters, Venom and Carnage in general, were HORRIBLE!!!, thank goodness it only lasted like 41-43 episodes. I watched it, but I was kinda freaked out by all that went on in it, being like Marvel didn't even have a hand in the series...

It's been a few years since it ended, and after the Spidey movie came out, I couldn't wait for something else to come out...then, this past Summer, SPIDER-MAN came out on MTV(the horror something like that on MTV, but I dealt with it...)...MAN THIS SERIES ROCKED!!!, I mean it was GREAT!!!...by the time the series ended, at the end of September, early October, I was like, WHAT, THAT'S IT?!...I was bummed out, and then like a week or so later, I looked up what would become of it, and lo, and behold, IT'S COMING OUT ON DVD!!!! I can't wait to get it on DVD!!!.

This series is gonna be great when they get the second season rolling. I exhaustively enjoyed the firstborn season, and the animation was a bit wierd at first, but I got applied to it in like 3-5 minutes, the cell shading is great, I like that it's like observing video game-type graphics, and the stories are great...I MEAN, WITH THE GREAT BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS WRITING THIS, HOW CAN IT BE BAD!!!?!?!? He is a outstanding writer, being his older series and his newer work in the new ULTIMATE UNIVERSE...I think this series is actually gonna stick this time, with an actual Spider-man Comic book writer writing it, rather of someone just pulling stuff from the comics, or just out of thin air. That's why I think Spider-man 2 the movie is gonna be better than the first(well, how much better do you want it other than organic web fluid, but hey, beggars can't be choosers...)...J. Michael Straczynski lending a hand with the movie, I think it'll be so much closer to the comics than ever before, which for numerous people, might be bad, but for me, I'll be a happy person...lol

So, Kudos to this DVD, I'll be waiting for with baited breath for it's arrival...and until Batman runs off with Wonder Woman, Make Mine Marvel!!!

3not actually for kids
By A. Richards
The series is agreeably diverting for adults, however, you may not want to buy
this for kids. I purchased it for my 9 yr old son. The story lines and animation
are good... but... a large total of sexual innuendo. And a great deal of curse words. Why the
cursing is in there is beyond me. must be an MTV thing. but it ruins
the show for wide viewing. The sexual significances are also unnecessary but added in to entice hormone-overdosed kids.

What Is A Satellite

by on May.26, 2011, under Uncategorized

Satellite TV is plainly TV that is transmitted through the use of communication satellites. It was initial introduced in the market in the 1990s. Back then, a satellite TV was made of a huge metal disk that persons often set up in their yards. It was bulky and rather expensive. There was likewise no controlled programming yet, which enabled satellite TVs to pick up "wild" feeds, a heap of of which were not intended for public viewing.

Today, satellite TV has evolved in a lot of ways. It is much littler and may be placed on rooftops. The programs are chosen by a direct broadcast satellite (DBS) provider, which offers these programs as a package to their subscribers. DBS systems, likewise known as "direct-to-home," are ofttimes called "mini-dish" systems. The DBS system ensures that only paying subscribers gain access to the TV content.

How does a satellite TV work?

A DBS satellite scheme is composed of five components. These are the programming source, the broadcast center, the satellite, the satellite dish, and the receiver. The programming source refers to the channel that provides the programming. There are dissimilar programming sources, such as STAR movies, ESPN, HBO, and Disney channels. The DBS provider remunerate these programming roots for the right to broadcast their programs thru satellite.

The broadcast center is where the satellite TV provider receives the signals coming from the dissimilar programming sources. The broadcast center transmits broadcast signals to satellites, which receive these signals and send them back to earth. These signals are then received by a satellite dish which, brings them to the receiver connected to a usual TV.

What Is A Satellite

This book questions the existence of anthropogenic international warming and discloses faults of international warming advocates. It uses satellite global temperature measurements to show that the late twentieth century warming merely did not exist. What satellites do see in the eighties and nineties is that world temperature merely oscillated around a median value by half a degree Celsius. Clearly temperature curves showing warming in this time slot are wrong and very likely are doctored. Three official temperature origins are involved and ought to be investigated. These oscillations detected by satellites turned out to be phases of the ENSO scheme consisting of alternate El Nino peaks and La Nina valleys. It was necessary to construct a new theory of how ENSO works to make sense of it. Real warming did not begin until 1998 when a super El Nino arrived. In four years international temperature rose by a third of a degree and then stabilized again for an extended 'twenty-first century high.' This was the only real warming within the last thirty years. It amounts to half of what is commonly assigned to the entire twentieth century. But all IPCC modelers have anticipated warming in the twenty-first century and have not gotten it. Despite this failure governments are still taking counsel from them thanks to a strong and well-funded green lobby. The so-called "climate science" from IPCC is also exclusively off with regards to arctic warming. They still talk in regards to carbon dioxide as it is cause when this is physically out of the question because the warming had a sudden commence while carbon dioxide did not change at all. Warm currents are melting the arctic, not the greenhouse effect. The entire theory of greenhouse effect is now being questioned because Ferenc Miskolczi demonstrated that addition of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere for 61 years straight did not show up as an increase of it is optical thickness in infrared where carbon dioxide absorbs. This may be the reason why I have not been competent to detect any trace of AGW.

5Knowledgeable and reasoned
By river rat 222
The author is welleducated regarding his area of expertise; satellite temperature selective information and the processes that are driving the normal (natural) variations in global temperature. He describes how the established means of measuring global temperature with ground stations has been flawed (likely intentionally) and demonstrates how the satellite temperature data record fits the well known natural variability and occillations much better. An honorable and successful try to let the pure science and unadulterated temperature data speak for us to give us a unfeigned sense of the recent global temperatures. Clearly, when politicians and big cash get too involved with science it may morph into pseudo-science and become untrustworthy. The author rises above the fray to present us a thoughtful and well-reasoned book worth reading.

5Temperature Data: Satellite vs. Thermometer - Which is right?
By Kevin L. Thomas
The author has published in book form, what is apparently fundamentally a exploration paper that he wrote earlier that was rejected by both Science and Nature journals. It must be pointed out that both of these journals are with resolute determination in the anthropogenic global warming camp, and exploration that does not help that view would ordinarily be rejected by their editors.

The author has reviewed the satellite temperature data, precise to +/- 0.03 degrees Celsius, in itself far more precise than ground based thermometers, but the interesting thing he found was that the satellite data show no warming trend from 1978 to 2008, only an oscillation of temperature, cooling and warming, of 0.4 to 0.5 degrees, with a amount of time of 3-5 years. The only exception was 1997 to 1999, which showed significant warming. The author proposes this was due to the aspect of a Super El Nino. He states that, except for that brief warming, the international temperature follows the normal El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) amount of time and pattern, and that it is ENSO that determines the climate change, not CO2. He states that if there is no warming trend, then rising CO2 is not causing any warming.

It is a short, well-written paper, illustrated with effortlessly read charts and satellite images. I believe this book adds in no little measure to the body of research.
