first of all, the film is shot in thailand, they are in the bts/sky train which has automated tickets, there is nth called “crossroads” there and there is no “conductor” either….the whole thing was just dumb…its OBVIOUS they’re in bkk….n they’re acting like they’re in US or some other western country..

So kidney transplantation/dialysis is a must for a patient to survive, but this does not cure diabetes. So, the girl still has diabetes unless they do pancreas transplantation after that… (although this procedure is uncommon) but shell still take insulin injections.

Yes, you’re right! Insulin is made in the pancreas, but what happens is that diabetes if not diagnosed early can cause a severe damage to the kidneys. The high glucose level in blood destroys kidney’s ability to filter waste. Think about this, water is such a small molecule compared to glucose. These huge glucose molecules, when pass through small holes of kidney, destroy the kidney’s ability to filter proteins or RBC’s in the blood.

Ok correct me if i’m wrong, but if his daughter has diabetes why is he keeping her on dialysis? nothing is wrong with her kidney, she’s lacking insulin which is made in the pancreas not kidney.
